Cool story, one of those that leave me sitting and mulling over all the possibilities that are left open for the character, and the "what if's" if I was in their shoes. Nicely done!

Time travel is so hard to imagine~I like the way you used it here, to save himself. It's a reminder that we never know what we're meant to accomplish while we're here. Nice!
